In The Studio - October 25, 2006
I'm working hard on Adrian St. John's debut record. We started recording in May and are still going strong. I played and recorded the drums at Ameraycan Studios in North Hollywood. As it turns out, this studio was Ray Parker Jr.'s at one time (hence the funny spelling) and he recorded "Ghostbusters" there. Hah!
Adrian then laid down all the acoustic guitar tracks at a studio in West L.A. called Immergent. Ooooh they sound SWEET! That U87 is a thing of beauty.
These days, we are laying vocals down now at a secret location in Westwood. Something about mobile phones and day jobs. I'll never tell!
Next stop is Satellite Park in Malibu for bass, cello, fiddle and whatever else we can think of. Satellite Park has the most stunning views of any studio anywhere! I can sit and play the drums in the tracking room and look out onto the Pacific Ocean! I can make your record there too, so get in touch.
